Two Decades of Hands-on Experience with Senior Living Communities

The Highland Group Principal Elisabeth Borden is an avid student of consumer trends and preferences. She has had the vision to initiate successful, innovative projects in Colorado and elsewhere. Her knowledge and skill have grown from hands-on experience such as:

• Developer and manager of senior communities
• Regional operations director
• Corporate marketing consultant
• Developer of home-based services and programs
• Planner, market researcher and marketing consultant for more than 150 clients

Today, she leads The Highland Group team, transferring this experience to the benefit of client projects and initiatives.

Two Decades of Hands-on Experience with Senior Living Communities

Highland Group Research Director Don Durso is a Colorado attorney with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Regional and Urban Planning. Don brings to the Highland Group 10 years of combined experience in municipal planning and commercial appraisal, including:

• Planning analysis of development proposals for Colorado communities, including senior housing projects and multi-unit residential developments
• Researcher, reviewer and drafter of municipal land use codes
• Facilitator of government land use review processes

Elisabeth has knowledge of what works in an operational setting and has the practical skills to help implement her recommendations.
